Privacy that matches a moderator workflow.
This policy explains what MODPC may collect, how that data is used, and how it is handled when you use the website or install the moderation workspace in Reddit.
Information we may collect
- Account and moderation context made available by Reddit for the active subreddit.
- Workspace settings, installed subreddit references, and moderator preferences required for the app to function.
- Audit events and workflow data created when you use MODPC features.
How we use information
We use data to render the workspace, show queue and mod-log summaries, save settings, support moderation actions, and improve the experience for your subreddit.
Where you enable optional integrations, we may also use submitted prompts or documents to generate assistance within the product.
Storage and retention
Workspace data may be stored in the app’s configured backing services, such as Redis, so the moderation desk can persist settings, installs, and activity history.
Retention should be limited to what is necessary for the product to operate and for moderators to review recent actions.
Your choices
- You can stop using the app or uninstall it from the subreddit.
- You can change workspace settings in the app when available.
- You can avoid optional integrations if you do not want external processing.
Security
MODPC uses permission checks and subreddit scoping to reduce access to moderation data. No system is perfectly secure, so you should review sensitive actions before confirming them.
Children’s privacy
This product is intended for moderators and community administrators. It is not designed for children, and it should not be used to knowingly collect information from children except as permitted by applicable law and platform rules.
Contact and updates
Questions about privacy can be sent through the project contact channel or repository. We may update this policy when the product changes, and the page will reflect the latest version.
